I'm Martin, a writer, director and concept artist based in Augsburg, Germany. I started out as a multimedia generalist, moved on to animation and somehow ended up in film. Due to my design background, my projects often combine a variety of styles and techniques – as long as it answers the purpose. Additionally, I teach dramaturgy and animation at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg.

Of course filmmaking is a very collaborative field of work and many talented people have contributed to these films. You'll find the proper credits on the project pages of my portfolio. Also my apologies for putting the trophies on display so blatantly – basically they're there so you know I know what I'm doing.
Dancing Squirrel was a company founded by Stefan Leuchtenberg and me during the production of "A Lost and Found Box of Human Sensation". While I kept the family jewels, Stefan has moved on to launch Ploosh, a studio for interactive media, and focuses now on creating high quality media for kids and families. However, we still like each other and collaborate frequently!
